Grapefruit Essential Oil, Aromatika

Aroma: pleasant, sweet, bitter-sweet, refreshing, reminding both orange and lemon scent with notes of herbs and bitterness.

Obtained by: grapefruit essential oil is obtained from fruit peel of Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) of Citrus family by using method of cold pressing with further filtration. 

Characteristics: antidepressant, tonic; immunostimulant; stimulates blood and lymph circulation, increases arterial pressure; antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, analgetic; stimulates appetite, normalizes lipometabolism, helps with weight reduction; hepatoprotection, cholagogue; diuretic; anticellulite action,  promotes toxins removal; normalizes secretion and drainage function of sebaceous glands, lightenes and bleaches oily skin, normalizes sebaceous secretion of oily skin and hair.

Recommended for treatment: depression, melancholy, fears, depressed mood, low self-concept; in overloads and asthenia, cold, viral respiratory infections, hypotonic neurocirculatory dystonia, arterial hypotension, disturbance of microcirculation in tissues, appetite impairment, disturbance of gastrointestinal digestion; impairment of liver function, impairment of gallbladder tone and biliary tone, in cholelithiasis; to clear the body of wastes, acne, for lightening and whitening skin with pigment spots, freckles; in cellulite and obesity; for oily skin care and hair care.

Properties of oil: 
light yellow or greenish-yellow fluid liquid with a smell both orange and lemon with hints of herbs and bitterness.

Blend with other oils: 
with basil oil, jasmine oil, ylang-ylang oil, cedar oil, cypress oil, lavender oil, common age oil, frankincense oil, geranium oil, rose oil, rosewood oil, palmarosa oil, cammomile oil, citronella oil, nutmeg oil, cinnamon oil.

Ways of using, dosage:
anti-cellulite massage: 5-7 drops per 10 ml of vegetable base oil;
vaporization in aroma lamp: 5-7 drops per 15 m2; 
cosmetics enrichment: 5 drops of essential oil per 15 ml of base. 

Caution:

possible photosensitization – don’t apply on skin less than 60 minutes before sunbathing.

Storage: essential oils are stored in tightly closed dark glass bottles in indoor temperature in place inaccessible to children. Protect from light.
